I have chosen Andy Green as one of my photographers as i liked the diversity within his selection of advertising photographs for example he has worked with Sony, Heineken, McCain and Actimel which are companies with massive difference between them. This shows the diversity of Andy Green's skills to adapt to different companies to achieve the perfect commercial photograph for them. I like the way that Andy approaches commercial photograph which is by incorporating the company within a real life event such as a football match or carnival. I also like his sense of humour which he portrays through some of his commercial photograph to give them a alternative feel compared to other commercial photographer work.

This second photograph by Andy Green is for the drink company 'Heineken' who specialise in alcoholic drinks. This therefore outlines the audience to be over 18 only therefore Andy Green would have had this in mind when photographing this commercial photograph. When thinking about where the bottle has been placed it appears to be around the centre of the composition therefore ensuring that it is the main focus. This would be due to the busy looking background which is a football stadium. Andy Green i feel has decided to set this photograph at a football stadium as beer like Heineken are mainly drunk by men and football is also mainly watched by men, Therefore it would make sense to have these two elements together as the intended audience, men over 18, would be able to relate to it personally. Furthermore the male audience is shown by having to male hands passing the drink to one another.

This third photograph by Andy Green is for the company McCain who are a food company. The audience for this commercial photograph would be essentially any one. Andy Green has shown this in his photograph by showing three different generation by having three tractors which gradually change in size to show the change in generation. Furthermore by having it set in green, healthy fields, this shows the freshness of the food which will help with the persuasive element of the photograph to ensure people buy McCains rather than any other food companies. When looking at the colour which have been used throughout the commercial photograph, they all appear to be very natural and earthy. This relates to the company at hand as they want to portray their food as natural and that it is all freshly grown in British farms as this something that would appeal to the audience and make them buy this companies food over any other. |

This forth photograph by Andy Green is for the company Actimel who specialise in a yogurt drink for all ages. In this specific photograph it is being aimed at the older generation due to the model which is being used who is an old lady on a mobility scooter. A sense of humour has been portrayed through this photograph for example it says 'gale force 9? you're having a laugh' which is meant to be what the old woman is saying suggesting that because she has had her actimel she is stronger then ever and that she can even battle through gale force winds. The bottle has been added in the corner of the photograph along with the slogan 'bring it on'. which will help the audience to clearly understand what the bottle looks like if they are going to buy it.
Influence:
I have been influence by Andy Green has he has made me want to look into doing more location shoots to when looking at the advertising of products. This i feel will give my work diversity as i done want it to be all in the studio. Also this photographer has influenced me in a way in which i would like to think more about engaging the audience by adding text which may included a question which would then involve the audience and add to the persuasive element of the photograph.
Summary:
Overall i like Andy Greens work as it is different from other commercial photographs which i have look looked at due to his being mainly location based where as many other commercial photographers focus their shoots in the studio.
My Own Work:
This is an example of my own work. I was influenced by Andy Green's work as i wanted to look at adding text to my photographs in order to help with the persuasive side of the photograph as well as intriguing the audience. Therefore in my own photograph, i decided to use the technique text within an image to show the name of the perfume. By using this technique. i was still able to ensure that the perfume. the main focal point, was visible and easily identified by the audience.
