Animation Image Bank
This animation shows the model as stationary however the flame from the lighter is moving however this is only the slightest movement although this makes the overall animation look more realistic. |
This last animation has been taken from the side car mirror which is showing the cars going past. |
Animation Technique Page
What is it?: Movement created through a series of photos being displayed in a continuous loop of frames.
How do you do it?
Animation is very similar another technique that is fairly easy to create. It sees you as the photographer using a series of photos to create movement (a little bit like sequencing). This is how you do it:
1. Firstly, you need to know what you are going to shoot. Format your camera and the go out to shoot your subject.
2. Once you have conducted your shoot download the photos in Photoshop.
3. Open the first image that is going to appear in the animation and change the levels and curves and any other adjustments that you would like to make.
4. You can now start making the animation by going to Window in Photoshop and selecting “Animation/Timeline”.
5. Make all the changes to the other images that going to be in the animation the same as what you did in the first so that the animation runs smoothly, then place the images in new frames/layers on the timeline.
6. You can now make any adjustments to the animation that you desire such as the length of time it runs, make it run on repeat or ‘tween’ it to make it run smoother.
7. Ensure you save this file as a GIF.

Photographer No.2- Jonathan Knowles
I have chosen Jonathan Knowles as one of my photographer as he has a unique way of photographing products especially liquid products such as beer, coke and drinks from costa. I feel that in his photographs he lets the product do most of the work rather than everything else in the photograph. He is also able to appeal to different audiences when referring to the product even though there is only one photograph. Also i like his use of colours when thinking about the type of product or company in which he is advertising.
This photographer has influenced me in a way in which i have started to look into photographing products such as drinks and food as this something that i did not think of doing when creating my project proposal. This has allowed me to look at different lighting set ups as liquids require specific lighting to ensure that it can be seen. Also in further shoots i would like to incorporate texts when editing the photograph to add to the persuasive side of the photograph.
Summary:
Overall i like Jonathan Knowles style of photography as it is diverse and he experiments with different products whether it be drink or food. Also i like the way he adds text to many of his photographs to add to the persuasive element of photograph
My Own Work:
This is an example of my own work. I was influenced by Jonathan Knowles as i wanted to look at photographing drinks as this is something that he specialises in. Also i was influenced by the way he pays a lot of attention to the background to ensure that it reflects the product in which he is advertising. This is apparent in my photograph as i decided to use cubes of ice as a background as this helped portrayed the drink as ice cold and refreshing.
Photographer No.1- Andy Green
I have chosen Andy Green as one of my photographers as i liked the diversity within his selection of advertising photographs for example he has worked with Sony, Heineken, McCain and Actimel which are companies with massive difference between them. This shows the diversity of Andy Green's skills to adapt to different companies to achieve the perfect commercial photograph for them. I like the way that Andy approaches commercial photograph which is by incorporating the company within a real life event such as a football match or carnival. I also like his sense of humour which he portrays through some of his commercial photograph to give them a alternative feel compared to other commercial photographer work.

Blurring Technique Page
How to achieve it:
- Set the ISO onto the lowest number possible, in my case this was 100.
- Then change the camera to shutter priority which means changing it to 'S' in the dial.
- Then change the shutter speed to around 1/8 to achieve the blur
- When shooting, you can use different techniques to blur such as moving the camera in a upwards or sidewards motion or asking the model/subject to move in motion.
- Both of these technique will leave you with a blurred image.

Personal Image Bank
This photograph is advertising a perfume. In this specific photograph a female model has been used to be be the main focus of the composition. The model can be seen to be looking directly at the camera however her body is facing the side. The photograph has been made to be in black and white which gives a very sophisticated look to the overall photograph. In the bottom corner of the composition a image of the bottle of perfume has been edited into the photograph as well as text which shows the name of the perfume.
