Personal Shoot No.8 Work Diary

In this shoot i wanted to look at commercial photograph in a way in which i hadn't thought about before   which was to incorporate fashion by photographing clothing opposed to photographing a model. I feel this shoot turned out better than i expected therefore i am very pleased with the outcome. I created this photograph by hanging sting from one end of the studio to the other and then pegging the clothes to the the line. Also in this specific example i got air under the dress to make it look as if it was blowing in the wind. When editing the photograph, i used the spot healing tool to then erase the string to create the effect that the dress was floating in the air.

From this shoot, i decided to make an animation which  shows the front and the back of the dress. This not only a very unique and individual way of showing the dress but also allows the audience to see both sides of the dress in one photograph. The dress also has the illusion of floating which creates a mysterious photograph.

If i was to do this shoot again, i would like to look at creating this by with a more urban feel by placing the clothes against a brick wall with coat hangers which appear to be floating apposed to the pegs.

What influenced me to do this shoot
I was influenced to do this shoot from my previous shoot showing commercial fashion photography through models however this time i wanted to try something different by just photographing the clothes on there own.

As a result of this shoot, i feel that i am much more open minded when shooting commercial photograph as I have realised that there is more than just taking the photograph and that different ways of editing will help towards the selling of the product.

Future Shoot
In a future shoot,I would like to look at something different like make up however I would like to incorporate video as this is a technique in which I enjoyed therefore I feel that it will be something interesting to look at in my own project.
