Wide Angle and Close-up Work Diary

This is one of my close-up photograph. I chose this one to be included in my work diary as it was my favorite out of them all. Focusing just on the subject eye allows the audience to see it in more detail and depth than you would in a portrait of the same person. By having there eye open allows the audience to become engaged with the photograph as the subject will always appear to be looking at them. The one negative point i have about this photograph is that you can see my reflection in the subject eye however this is only faint.
This is one of my wide angle photographs. I chose this one to be included in my work diary as i felt it was the most successful in showing a wide angle photograph. By getting closer to one section of the fence i was able to make it appear much larger than the rest of the fence however real life each section of the fence is the same size. This is therefore creating some sort of distortion within the photograph for the audience which is part of the wide angle effect.
